CVE-2026-8982Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrative access via device-derived privileged passwords

Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026

Hard-coded credentials in Autel MaxiCharger Single firmware through V1.03.51 allow remote attackers to gain administrative web access. Two undocumented privileged accounts derive their passwords from device-specific values using vendor-defined algorithms rather than administrator-set secrets. Exploitation requires the derivation algorithm and corresponding device inputs, after which the accounts grant administrative control through the web management interface.
