Local service interruption via faulty DRM folio migration
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Memory-management errors in Linux 6.18 allow local users to corrupt memory or interrupt service during DRM device-page migration. drm_pagemap_migrate_populate_ram_pfn() computes a folio's order after put_page() can drop its last reference and mishandles higher-order allocation fallback, leaving per-page source entries unset. Reachability requires device-private folio migration under memory pressure; the resulting use-after-put, incomplete copy, or log flooding can destabilize the kernel.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
