Use-after-free via premature workqueue destruction
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux ab8500 fuel-gauge driver allows attackers to queue work on a freed workqueue during device removal. ab8500_fg_remove() destroys the driver workqueue before devm releases threaded interrupt handlers, so an interrupt in that interval schedules work through the stale queue. The race requires the ab8500 driver, device removal, and a concurrent interrupt; the resulting system consequence has not been publicly characterized.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
