Use-after-free via unpinned delegation owner
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux NFSD allows attackers to access freed client memory during concurrent delegation revocation and client teardown. nfs4_laundromat removes an expired delegation from cl_delegations before revoke_delegation relinks it, letting client_has_state miss the bare nfs4_client pointer and free its owner. Reachability requires a recalled NFS delegation to time out while client teardown runs; published evidence establishes the invalid dereference but not code execution or a reliable crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
