Kernel-memory corruption via oversized QuickSPI report
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Linux 6.14 allows attackers controlling a QuickSPI touch response to overwrite a caller-sized kernel buffer. quickspi_get_report() copies qsdev->report_len bytes from the device report into the hidraw request buffer without comparing that length with the caller's len. Reachability requires an Intel THC QuickSPI touch device to return an oversized GET_REPORT payload after HIDIOCGFEATURE or HIDIOCGINPUT, causing device-controlled kernel-memory corruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
