Unspecified impact via premature display registration
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Race condition in the Linux panel-dsi-cm driver allows attackers to cause unspecified impact via concurrent display callbacks. The dsicm_probe function publishes the display through omapdss_register_display before initializing ddata->lock, so a consumer callback can attempt to take an uninitialized mutex. Reachability requires the affected OMAP DSI command-mode panel driver and a callback during the narrow probe-time interval; the upstream record specifies neither a user-controlled trigger nor a bounded operational consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
