Protected information disclosure and sandbox escape
Published May 19, 2026 · Updated May 19, 2026
Sandbox escape in Mozilla Firefox before 151 and Thunderbird before 151 allows remote attackers to disclose protected information. Mozilla has not disclosed the flawed operation or the untrusted input reaching the Security: Process Sandboxing component. Firefox ESR and Thunderbird ESR before 140.11 are also affected; Thunderbird exposure generally requires a browser-like context because scripting is disabled while reading email.
