CVE-2026-89535

Use-after-free via stale RDMA notification entry

Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026

A use-after-free in Linux 6.12 allows attackers to access a freed RDMA connection identifier during concurrent transport teardown. svc_rdma_free() destroys sc_cm_id before removing the transport's sc_rn notification entry, so ib_unregister_device can dispatch svc_rdma_xprt_done() through the stale entry. Reachability requires the svcrdma transport and a concurrent RDMA-device unregister walk; the public record identifies neither an attacker-controlled trigger nor an impact beyond invalid memory access.
