Local hang via RDMA event-list locking race
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Race condition in Linux RDMA/ucma allows local users to hang a writer by issuing SET_OPTION while migrating a bound connection ID. ucma_set_ib_path() invokes ucma_event_handler() without the handler lock, allowing ctx->file to change between mutex acquisition and event-list insertion. Reachability requires an RDMA device and a bound, address-resolved connection ID; demonstrated outcomes are a slab use-after-free and an uninterruptible writer hang.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
