Kernel memory disclosure via misdirected R2T handling
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Information disclosure in the Linux NVMe/TCP host driver allows remote attackers controlling a storage controller to read stale kernel memory. nvme_tcp_handle_r2t() accepts an R2T for a read, after which nvme_tcp_setup_h2c_data_pdu() and nvme_tcp_try_send_data() transmit the read destination buffer. Exploitation requires the host to issue a read to an attacker-controlled NVMe/TCP controller; the controller receives prior kernel contents without a host log.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
