Freed-memory access via delayed-work teardown race
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux rt9455 power-supply driver allows a delayed callback to access freed memory during device teardown. The teardown path cancels max_charging_time_work before batt_presence_work, which can queue the canceled callback after rt9455_info is freed. Reachability requires the RT9455 driver and a device-removal or failed-probe race; the published record establishes neither an attacker-controlled trigger nor a specific end effect.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
