Kernel use-after-free via uncanceled charger workers
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux twl4030 charger driver allows attackers to access freed kernel memory via a device-removal race. The twl4030_bci_remove function leaves two workers active after their devm-allocated bci object is freed, and either worker can dereference that stale object. The flaw requires the TWL4030 charger driver and device teardown while work is pending; the demonstrated consequence is a kernel use-after-free detected by KASAN.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
