Kernel use-after-free via uncancelled health polling
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux ucs1002 power-supply driver allows attackers to dereference freed kernel memory during device unbinding. The alert IRQ queues self-rescheduling health_poll delayed work, while device-managed teardown frees driver data without cancelling that work. The condition requires a bound UCS1002 device reporting bad health and driver unbinding; the documented consequence is a post-teardown dereference.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
