CVE-2026-89450

Stream ID aliasing via truncated guest vSID

Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026

Improper vSID validation in Linux 6.17 allows attackers to alias an unintended Stream ID through a virtual IOMMU request. tegra241_vintf_init_vsid() accepts a 32-bit guest value, shifts it into the 20-bit SID_MATCH field, and silently discards the upper bits. Exploitation requires a VMM controlling vdev->virt_id on Tegra241 CMDQV hardware; the public record establishes Stream ID misassociation but does not specify its security consequence.
