Reflected XSS via unescaped search-title placeholders
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
Reflected XSS in Spacetime Ad Inserter 2.8.18 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in a visitor's browser via a crafted search link. On search pages, an enabled ad block using {title} or {short-title} places the insufficiently escaped s search parameter into rendered content. Exploitation requires that an administrator configure such a block for search pages and that a visitor follow the crafted link; script execution is limited to the affected site's browser origin.
