Denial of service in multipathd on affected Red Hat platforms allows local users to hang legitimate IPC operations through its control socket. The listener thread performs blocking reply sends without bounding output that a connected client leaves unread. Access to the UNIX control socket is required; exploitation stalls IPC but does not execute code, elevate privileges, or affect data confidentiality or integrity.
