Board takeover via member-only authorization checks
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Missing authorization in FluentBoards before 2.0.15 allows remote authenticated users to perform manager-only board operations. Several board-management handlers check only whether the requester belongs to the board, without verifying the required board-manager privilege. Any board member can therefore add or remove members and expose a private board by enabling public access; an authenticated WordPress account with board membership is required.
