Local file tampering via inherited directory permissions
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Incorrect permissions in Apache Lounge Apache HTTP Server before 2.4.68-260920 Win64 allow local users to modify installation files. The archive's default C:\Apache24 directory inherits a root-directory ACL that grants the Authenticated Users group write access instead of applying restrictive permissions. Any local account in that group can alter files beneath the installation, although public sources do not establish a further execution or privilege-escalation consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
