API key disclosure via reversible frontend encoding
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Sensitive information exposure in GPTranslate 2.34.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain third-party AI provider API keys. The enqueue_frontend_scripts function emits a reversibly encoded key into public inline JavaScript and supplies the inverse transform client-side. Any public page exposes the credential by default for non-DeepSeek providers unless supported GPT models use server-proxy mode, enabling billed API use.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
