Authenticated comment impersonation via unvalidated userUid
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Authorization bypass in MoguBlog through 6.2 allows remote authenticated users to post comments attributed to arbitrary accounts. CommentRestApi.add copies the request body's userUid into the persisted comment author field without binding it to the authenticated principal. An ordinary authenticated session is sufficient to falsify comment attribution, including attribution to administrators, without gaining their account privileges.
