Boot integrity bypass via missing verity file

Security feature bypass in Debian live-boot ff8867c4e2d62e497cb895b15b7d6d518d5adff1 allows attackers to boot modified root filesystems. The early-userspace overlay logic applies dm-verity mount options only when a sibling .verity hash-table file exists, so deleting that file skips verification even when signature enforcement was requested. Exploitation requires control of the live medium or its filesystem contents and results in a manipulated root filesystem booting without the promised authenticity and integrity enforcement.
