Private chat disclosure via spoofed bot identity
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Improper authentication in WordPlus Better Messages 2.15.33 and earlier allows remote attackers to read private chat history via a forged guest. During unauthenticated guest registration, get_client_ip() stores X-Real-IP verbatim, and is_ai_bot_user() trusts the ai-chat-bot- prefix. Guest chat must be enabled; the forged bot identity bypasses room allowlists and permits reading private history and posting messages.
