Health-data disclosure via unauthenticated Nordic UART Service
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Missing authentication in TCH QRing R20_B006 firmware RT09R20_1.00.00_250318 allows physically proximate attackers to read health data over BLE. The exposed Nordic UART Service accepts client connections and health-data commands without pairing, client authentication, command authorization, or user approval. Bluetooth Low Energy range is sufficient to bypass the official application and cloud, retrieve historical heart-rate and blood-oxygen records, and activate live monitoring.
