Root command execution via unsanitized filenames
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Command injection in WAVLINK WN535M1 and WN535M3 M35M1_V210223 allows remote attackers to execute root commands via sync_server. The daemon inserts untrusted filenames into a shell command using sprintf() and invokes system() without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Exploitation requires mesh mode and network access to TCP port 13136, but no credentials or user interaction; mesh mode is enabled by default on WN535M1.
