Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped campaign field
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Stored XSS in WPeMatico RSS Feed Fetcher before 2.8.26 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via campaign settings. The campaign editor stores the Word to Category field without sanitizing it and reopens the value without output escaping, causing embedded markup to execute in a higher-privileged viewer's session. Contributor-level access and the affected feature must be enabled; execution requires a higher-privileged user to view the campaign.
