Contributor-level publishing and author spoofing via campaigns
Published Sep 27, 2026 · Updated Sep 27, 2026
Missing authorization in WPeMatico RSS Feed Fetcher before 2.8.27 allows remote authenticated users to publish posts and spoof authors. Campaign saving accepts a post status and author without checking whether the editor may publish or assign posts to another account. Contributor-level access is sufficient to make imported content live under any registered user's name, including an administrator's.
