Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026
Stored XSS in Events In City 3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through org-events attributes. The org_event_scode() function concatenates organizer_id, width, height, transparency, header, border, and layout values into HTML attributes without esc_attr(). Contributor-level access is required, and the stored payload runs when a user views the injected page, enabling browser-context data access or actions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
