Disk exhaustion via orphaned aborted-upload files
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Denial of service in Multer 2.2.0 through 2.3.0 allows remote attackers to exhaust disk space via aborted uploads. File writes that finish after abort cleanup has completed are not removed, leaving orphaned files when disk storage is configured. Repeated unauthenticated requests must reach a Multer-backed upload route using disk storage; accumulated files can fill the host filesystem and interrupt the service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
