Administrator MFA bypass via password-derived API tokens
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Authentication bypass in CyberPanel before 3.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to bypass TOTP on administrative API endpoints. The standard API, cloud API, connection verification, API login, and panel-session handoff accept password-derived legacy tokens without enforcing account TOTP policy. Possession of an administrator password is required, after which administrative operations and authenticated panel sessions are available without the second factor.
