Remote command execution via unquoted distributionType value
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Command injection in Renovate before 44.14.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a crafted Maven Wrapper property. The Maven Wrapper manager interpolates the repository-controlled distributionType value into a Docker-sidecar shell command without quoting it. Exploitation requires repository write access, binarySource=docker, and a Maven Wrapper update, and commands run with Renovate's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
