Command execution via unquoted Mix organization
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Command injection in Mend.io Renovate before 44.14.7 allows attackers to execute commands as the Renovate user through crafted Mix packages. The Mix manager interpolates unquoted Hex organization and token values into an authentication shell command when resolving private dependencies. Exploitation requires private Mix dependency processing with binarySource=docker, and successful commands inherit the Renovate process account's access.
