Authenticated stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026
Stored XSS in konforti Listen Shortcode 1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the listen shortcode. The listenEmbedJS() function places the user-supplied src, start, and end attributes inside a single-quoted HTML attribute without escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, which executes in a visitor's browser when the injected page is opened.
