Stored XSS via unsanitized live-link metadata
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Stored XSS in AVideo through commit c3edcc274c389816d434acadac07ee78eaf330c1 allows remote authenticated users to run script in viewers' browsers. The LiveLinks persistence and page-rendering path stores the title and description fields without sanitizing or encoding their untrusted contents. A user with canStream permission can plant script that executes within the site origin for every live-link visitor, including administrators.
