CVE-2026-88862Network attack vector

Privilege escalation via unchecked sibling key delegation

Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026

Authorization bypass in the Capgo backend through 12.242.4 allows remote authenticated users to exercise a sibling key's privileges. The middleware resolves an x-limited-key-id using its numeric ID, expiration state, and owning user, then replaces the active context without verifying parent-child delegation. An apikey_manager key can consequently assume a more privileged same-owner key's app_admin access without possessing that key's secret.
