Privileged code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Sep 20, 2026 · Updated Sep 20, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in OrdaSoft Joomla Gallery editions 1.0.0 through 6.2.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The saveWatermark() function copies an upload into a web-accessible directory under its client-supplied filename without extension, content, or filename validation. Exploitation requires core.manage permission; the uploaded script runs under the web service account when its public path is requested.
