Stored XSS via untrusted snippet variable overrides
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Stored XSS in Regular Labs Snippets before 7.0.0 and Snippets Pro before 11.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script in a reader's browser. Snippet rendering substitutes article-tag variable values into saved trusted content without checking the article author's trust level or neutralizing a value placed in a security-sensitive URL context. An authenticated lower-privileged author must supply the crafted override, which executes when affected content is rendered for a reader.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
