Disabled-account access via incomplete authentication-path enforcement
Published Oct 11, 2026 · Updated Oct 11, 2026
Authentication bypass in Disable Users 1.0.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to retain access through other login paths. The supplied advisory reports incomplete enforcement; retrieved plugin code checks the disabled flag in a wp_login callback rather than across authentication paths. Exploitation requires credentials for an account disabled by an administrator and retains that account's existing privileges, not a higher role.
