Unauthenticated stored XSS via unchecked gallery data
Published Oct 11, 2026 · Updated Oct 11, 2026
Stored XSS in SmugMug Embed 3.13 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts via gallery data in administrator settings. The gallery-storage AJAX action lacks authorization and CSRF checks, and stored data reaches the settings screen without sanitization or escaping. Script execution requires an administrator to view that screen and occurs in the administrator's browser, not directly on the server.
