Weak key derivation in Securly Chrome Extension 3.0.7 and earlier allows attackers to recover encrypted filtering data offline. The AES path passes MD5 and an iteration count of one to EVP_BytesToKey, omitting key stretching and making captured ciphertext efficient to crack. Exploitation requires access to ciphertext produced by an active ChromeOS filtering extension and discloses protected filtering information without changing it.
