Local file disclosure via unrestrained Xalan entities
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
XXE in Apache Camel Quarkus 3.2.0 before 3.33.3 and 3.34.0 before 3.40.0 allows attackers to read local files via crafted XML. Its Xalan-backed TransformerFactory does not honor Camel's external-DTD restrictions and resolves entities in untrusted XML passed to it as a Source. Exposure requires an application to transform attacker-supplied XML through that path or use the affected JAXP default factory; entity resolution can also reach internal network locations.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
