Unauthenticated stored XSS via overbroad SVG allowlist
Published Oct 3, 2026 · Updated Oct 3, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Extend Themes Kubio AI Page Builder before 2.9.3 allows remote attackers to run scripts via comments. Kubio adds SVG elements to WordPress's allowed HTML list in every filtering context instead of restricting them to editor rendering, so comment filtering retains attacker-supplied markup. The site must accept anonymous comments; the retained markup executes when a visitor views an approved comment or an administrator reviews a pending submission.
