Stored XSS via unescaped director tag rendering
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Bacularis 4.7.0 through 6.5.0 allows attackers to execute scripts in users' browsers via crafted director tags. Director tag values are stored and later rendered in tag-related views without adequate output escaping, so injected markup executes as script. Exploitation requires the ability to save a crafted tag and a user to open an affected view; the resulting script runs in that user's Bacularis session.
