Unauthenticated file read via file URL handling
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Arbitrary file read in NUUO Network Video Recorder 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to read device files through an unauthenticated request. The up.php script passes the POST url parameter directly to fopen(), accepts file:// URLs, and copies the selected local file into /tmp under a basename-derived name. No account is required, and successful exploitation exposes files readable by the web process, including password and session data.
