Authenticated code execution via unchecked thumbnail extension
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in WuzhiCMS 5.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code through a crafted thumbnail. The thumbnail-upload endpoint preserves the client-supplied .php extension without an allowlist or content check and writes the file under uploadfile/. A low-privileged member account and PHP execution in that web-accessible directory are required; successful exploitation runs code with the web server process privileges.
