Authenticated database compromise via partial SQL validation
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
SQL injection in NocoBase 2.1.21 allows remote authenticated users to access sensitive database data through crafted SQL statements. The checkSQL function in plugin-collection-sql validates only the text before the first semicolon, then passes the original multi-statement input to Sequelize. A valid bearer token and the SQL execution endpoint are required; MySQL or MariaDB deployments with multiple statements enabled execute the unchecked statements, allowing database reads, changes, or deletion.
