CVE-2026-88368

Process termination via unchecked fixed-point conversion

Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026

Incorrect numeric conversion in NanoSVG commit 239e102ec allows attackers to terminate a consuming process with a crafted SVG document. The nsvg__addActive() rasterizer function scales edge coordinates into fixed-point values and casts the results to int without verifying that they fit. Exploitation requires a consuming application to rasterize attacker-controlled SVG geometry large enough to exceed the int range; the demonstrated consequence is process termination.
