Unauthenticated discovery-process crash via unbounded Scopes tokens
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in GeoVision GV-LPC2211 1.13 allows remote attackers to crash WS-Discovery via crafted Probe requests. The ONVIF Probe handler fails to bound the number of Scopes tokens before storing them in stack-frame state, overwriting control data. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation interrupts the discovery process without reported data disclosure or modification.
