ONVIF worker crash via oversized SetUser password
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in GeoVision GV-LPC2211 1.13 allows remote authenticated users to crash the ONVIF worker via SetUser. The handler copies an oversized password from an ONVIF SetUser request into a fixed-size stack field without enforcing its capacity. Administrator credentials and network access to ONVIF are required; exploitation interrupts the ONVIF worker without reported data exposure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
