ONVIF worker crash via oversized account fields
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in GeoVision GV-LPC2211 1.13 allows remote authenticated users to crash the ONVIF worker through CreateUsers. The CreateUsers handler copies oversized username or password values into fixed-size stack fields without enforcing destination bounds. Administrative ONVIF credentials and network access to the camera are required, and the documented consequence is interruption of the ONVIF worker rather than loss of confidentiality or integrity.
