Root command execution via crafted wireless SSID
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
OS command injection in GeoVision GV-LPC2211 1.13 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands as root via the wireless SSID. The wireless configuration path passes an administrator-controlled SSID containing shell syntax to a root-privileged command interpreter instead of treating it solely as data. Administrator access to the network management interface is required, after which injected commands obtain complete control of the camera appliance.
